Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer & Lead Consultant
Swimming has shaped nearly every aspect of my life, both in and out of the pool. As a four-year athletic scholarship recipient competing for the Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten Conference (B1G), I experienced firsthand the complexities of collegiate swimming recruitment, athlete marketing, and the ever-changing NCAA landscape. With a background in sport management and economics, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the business of sports, one that now drives my work at Lane Line Recruiting, helping athletes and families navigate the NCAA recruitment process with strategy and confidence.
Excelling in football, rugby, lacrosse, cycling, and swimming from a young age, I developed an appreciation for the discipline, adaptability, and strategic mindset required to compete at a high level across multiple sports. While my athletic pursuits were diverse, they all reinforced a common theme: success in sports requires not only talent but also planning, decision-making, and proper guidance.
A Lifetime in the Pool
My 16-year competitive swimming career began at the age of five in our local YMCA pool, where I won every U6 event I entered at the championship that season. That early success ignited my love for the sport, and within a year, I joined my first USA Swimming club, training under a former Michigan backstroker. From there, I was off to the races - literally.
When it came time to choose a college, my decision came down to the University of Michigan and two Ivy League programs with strong swim teams. While the Ivy League offered a prestigious academic track, I knew that if I wanted to build a career in the sports and entertainment industry, I needed a school that would give me direct exposure to big-time collegiate athletics, major sports markets, and a top-tier business education. That made the University of Michigan the best choice for me.
Michigan offered the perfect balance - a Power Four, top 20 NCAA swimming program with a storied history, including 19 National Championships, 12 NCAA titles, and more than 400 All-Americans and 100 Olympians, paired with a strong business and sports management foundation that aligned with my long-term career aspirations.
From my first breakthrough victory at age eight, winning the San Diego U10 Long Course Championship and being named the youngest swimmer on the San Diego All-Star Team, to competing at the highest levels of NCAA and USA Swimming, I’ve experienced both the highs of record-breaking moments and the setbacks that come with elite competition. These experiences shaped my understanding of strategic planning, resilience, and long-term development values that I now bring to every athlete I work with at Lane Line Recruiting.
Navigating the Business of College Athletics & Global Sports & Entertainment
My time at Michigan provided me with more than just an elite athletic experience; it also gave me an insider’s perspective on the business of sports and entertainment. As an undergraduate student in sport management and economics, I immersed myself in the financial, regulatory, and marketing frameworks that shape college athletics, from NIL opportunities to recruitment strategy and sponsorship development.
Building on that foundation, I have worked extensively in athlete marketing, brand partnerships, and talent representation, gaining direct experience in negotiating and executing endorsement deals, sponsorships, and media rights agreements. My role in these areas has exposed me to the complexities of athlete representation and the rapidly evolving NIL landscape, equipping me to guide clients through the business of sports with both knowledge and experience.
Recognizing the increasing globalization of sports and entertainment, I decided to continue my studies by enrolling in the M.A. in Global Business Management at the University of Alabama. This program will provide me with a deeper understanding of the international aspects of the sports and entertainment industry, from global marketing strategies and sponsorship development to the legal and financial complexities of representing multinational athletes and talent. My interest lies in expanding opportunities for athletes and entertainers on an international scale, ensuring they understand how to navigate both domestic and global markets as they advance in their careers.
Lane Line Recruiting: A Smarter Approach to NCAA Recruitment
When my brothers and I founded Lane Line Recruiting, we had one mission: to help athletes and families make informed, strategic decisions in the increasingly complex world of NCAA recruitment, the transfer portal, and NIL opportunities. Having gone through the recruiting process as a high school athlete and later seeing how NCAA rules continue to reshape collegiate sports, I understand that finding the right fit is more than just times on a results sheet - it’s about aligning athletics, academics, and career aspirations.
Through personalized consulting, industry expertise, and firsthand experience, I work with athletes to position them for success, whether they’re navigating the recruitment process, evaluating scholarship opportunities, or adapting to the realities of NCAA athletics today.
At Lane Line Recruiting, we’re not just helping swimmers find a team – we’re helping them build their future.
