Our Team
jacque wenger
I'm Jacque Wenger, co-founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Lead Consultant at Lane Line Recruiting LLC. As a four-year athletic scholarship recipient competing on the Michigan Wolverines Men's Swimming & Diving Team in the Big Ten Conference (B1G) with a background in sport management and economics, I understand the complex world of collegiate swimming recruitment from a unique, insider perspective.
My Journey
My 16-year competitive swimming career has been defined by dedication, achievement, and continuous growth. This journey began at the age of five in our local YMCA pool culminating in me winning every U6 event I entered in the championship that season. Within a year, I joined my first USA Swimming club coached by a former Michigan backstroker and I was off to the races, literally.
Now, as I approach retirement at the end of my senior year at Michigan, I fondly look back at some of my most memorable swimming achievements, including:
Competing in the 100m backstroke at the 2024 United States Olympic Team Trials at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Breaking the 15-18 National Age Group (NAG) record in the 4x100M Medley Relay at 2022 Speedo Junior Championships with my teammates, Nick Mahabir, Logan Noguchi, and Sam Quarles.
Being named to Michigan Wolverines Men’s Swimming & Diving top ten all-time leaderboard in 100 and 200 backstroke and 200 IM; a collegiate team dating to 1921 with 19 National Championships, including 12 NCAA Championships, that produced more than 400 All-Americans and 100 Olympians.
Earning B1G scholastic honors, as well as being named a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and College Swimming & Diving Coaches Associate of America Scholar All-American.
From my first significant USA Swimming achievement, winning the San Diego U10 long course championship at age eight in 2012 and being named the youngest member of the San Diego all-star team that year, all of these accomplishments have been fraught with many losses, missteps, and disappointments along the way. But athletics have taught me the importance of strategic planning and persistent effort. This I promise to instill in our clientele as we guide them through the ever-changing collegiate swimming landscape.

SEBASTIEN WENGER
My name is Sébastien Wenger and I co-founded Lane Line Recruiting LLC with my brothers. Having successfully navigated the NCAA Division I recruiting process to a top 20 ranked program like my brother Jacque, I believe we have a lot to offer young swimmers as they commence their own college recruiting journey. Now as the Chief Marketing Officer and Consultant at Lane Line Recruiting, I’m excited to help you achieve your dreams of competing in the NCAA.
My Journey
Throughout my primary and secondary education, my brothers and I embraced the life of multi-sport athletes. Like many American kids, my athletic journey began on the local community soccer pitch. I then quickly followed my brother into competitive swimming by the age of five. In addition to swimming, I developed a passion for youth football, where I played skilled positions for eight seasons. While playing football, I was introduced to rugby and fell in love with the games of sevens. Playing five seasons as scrum half culminated in our San Diego Mustangs team winning both the SoCal Championship and the California State Games.
Along the way, I also played attack in several seasons of youth lacrosse and even dabbled in ice hockey. To enhance my training, I started cycling with my family, which quickly evolved into road racing and track cycling. This passion led me to winning two California Junior State Championships and competing at the USA Cycling Amateur Road Nationals in 2019. My enjoyment of cycling and swimming naturally transitioned into triathlon competitions. And every winter our family took to the slopes alpine skiing.
Throughout this journey, I was fortunate to share experiences with my two brothers, Jacque and Lorenzo, who were not only my teammates but are now my business partners. The memories we created together on the podium are made even more special by the unwavering support of our parents, who either coached us from the sidelines or cheered us on from the bleachers when they weren’t traveling with us coast-to-coast for national competitions over more than a decade.
While I have a deep appreciation for all forms of athletic competition, I recognized that swimming was my pathway to a collegiate athletic career. Setting several San Diego age group and high school swim records, along with competing at the Speedo Winter Junior Championships, solidified my belief that a collegiate swimming career was within reach. Now, as a student-athlete on academic scholarship at the University of Alabama and member of the Crimson Tide Men’s Swimming & Diving Team as well as USA Swimming Scholastic All-American competing in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), I’m majoring in Marketing with a minor in the Sports & Entertainment Industry. And I am more passionate than ever about helping other swimmers navigate their own journeys to reach the next level of athletic competition.

I’m Lorenzo Wenger, the youngest of the Wenger brothers. I am not only a co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer of Lane Line Recruiting LLC but I’m also a current client, employing the same strategies we utilized to assist my brothers achieve their dreams of swimming on a top 20 NCAA men’s swimming and diving team. These proven strategies are the same we utilize to assist our clientele achieve their dream of reaching the next level of competitive swimming.
My Journey
Like my brothers, I too was a multi-sport athlete, first on the soccer pitch and quickly gravitating to flag football and rugby. While my swimming career began a little earlier than my brothers, age four with a local summer league, I was more focused on cycling, winning eight California State Junior Championships in road race, time trial, and criterium, and garnering a top ten finish in the USA Cycling 2019 Amateur Road National Championship Time Trial. I’m also passionate about Esports, namely Madden NFL, MVP Baseball, and Fortnite. Since Covid, however, I shifted my athletic focus entirely to competitive swimming, rapidly developing as a butterflyer. Like you, I'm still evolving and improving in the pool and dropping time as I strive to achieve the next time standards.
Recently, I was elected to the Board of Directors of San Diego Imperial Swimming, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and the local swimming committee (LSC) that serves as the administrative presence of USA Swimming in San Diego and Imperial Counties of California. In my role as an At Large Athlete Member of the Board for the 2025-2026 term, I have been granted full voting privileges and am tasked with several important responsibilities. These include attending all Board meetings, presenting athlete reports, participating in various committees, and acting as a liaison and advocate for USA Swimming athletes competing in the San Diego and Imperial counties. This position allows me to serve as a crucial voice for the swimming community, ensuring that athletes' concerns and interests are effectively represented at the administrative level.
At Lane Line Recruiting, we understand that becoming a collegiate athlete requires more than just physical talent. It demands mental fortitude, strategic planning, and a comprehensive understanding of the recruitment process. We help athletes and their families navigate the ever-changing landscape of NCAA collegiate swimming by focusing on strategic planning and guidance for recruitment, NCAA compliance, and effective communication with coaches.
Our goal is not just to help athletes secure spots on collegiate teams, but to ensure they find the right fit – athletically, academically, and personally.
